Welcome. I come from a large family that owned and operated a marina and fishing charter business on Catawba Island in Ohio. Growing up working in that business, allowed me to do what I love –Kayak fishing! Eventually, my life took me to Indiana where I quickly found that in order for me to continue to do what I love I had to learn how to load my kayak by myself. Loading and unloading fishing kayaks is a two person job. I needed to find a way to make a easy kayak loader. I searched over the internet for some type of Kayak loading system that would make it possible for me to easily load my kayak by myself safely and securely on the top of my SUV without beating up my kayak or my car. I quickly found that I was going to have to make one.
My vision was a loading roof-rack systems that would load from the rear of the vehicle and that didn’t require lifting the total weight of the kayak. It had to hold a large kayak without needing for me to climb up to the roof of the vehicle and to be removable in a standard sized garage. After some tweaking, I’m really pleased with the final product that weighs less than 40 lbs. Taking it down and storing it is just as easy. With the right attachments, you can load your kayaks, paddle boards, surf boards, cargo carrier or cargo boxes by yourself and do what you love from anywhere!
