The Law of the Jungle Prevailed!

"Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities. Forget about your worries and your strife..."

That was the mood and temperament of all the parishioners of Our Lady of Salvation Church, Dadar, who were awed and thrilled to witness the first ever musical 'The Jungle Book' performed by The Parish Youth Council, in association with the Children's Parliament. The theme of this much loved story by Rudyard Kipling is not just one of adventure, excitement and suspense, but a deeper underlying meaning of love, sacrifice and true friendship. It is that very message that the PYC, in association with the Children's Parliament, embodied on December 30, 2017 at Our Lady of Salvation grounds. Cutting across all barriers of age and division, children from standard two to college going youth were an integral part of this musical.

The PYC, along with the lay heads of Children's Parliament - Siena D'Souza and Alfred Nogueira, entirely took the onus to host the musical and faced all obstacles, time constraints and challenges with a passion and fire in their belly. From the scripting, directing, dialogue delivery, choreography, stage props, costumes and more, the youth toiled zealously with the Children's Parliament and a core team to ensure 'The Jungle Book' would be an extravaganza to remember. >>>
