The Conference theme - Breaking Down Barriers

The barriers are between: mathematics and science, various subjects in education, diverse cultures, and scientists and teachers; barriers between mathematics and the general public; replacing the image of a cold and austere subject with mathematics of warm, human, inviting and challenging beauty. Our goal is to break down barriers by bringing together different approaches to education from different parts of the world.

The Conference is designed to break down these barriers through
  1. the creation of innovative methods in mathematics education aligned with other subjects,
  2. the application of new methodologies from science and art education, and
  3. the application of the best teaching methods from around the world: East and West.
Recipients of the conference

  • Teachers interested in innovative approach to education,
  • Scientists engaged in various aspects of education,
  • Students interested in the topic of the conference,
  • Employers interested in raising the quality of mathematical education of employees-to-be.
Participation of lecturers and leaders of workshops from Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, United States and Hungary is expected.

  • Mathematics as a part of  STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics),
  • Math education in conjunction with other parts of  STEAM,
  • Psychological aspects of education,
  • Multimedia in education,
  • Creating awareness of indispensability of mathematics,
  • Individualization of educational processes,
  • Methods of education of talented students,
  • Distance education,
  • Effectiveness of math education.
Important dates
  • Registration by June 30, 2017 July 20
  • Deadline for submission of paper abstracts and workshop summaries – July 20, 2017
  • Proposal acceptance notification – until July 30, 2017
  • Deadline for payment of conference fee – August 7, 2017
  • Deadline for submission of articles for publication in a special issue of Psychological Studies - July 30, 2017 (articles must fulfill the formal requirements magazines)

Schedule
During the conference, lectures for all participants will be held as well as workshops for teachers and scientific lectures for researchers.

After the first day of the conference there will be an integrative dinner for the participants held.

In order to further integrate both environments (scientists and teachers), we kindly ask our scientist to provide a poster related to their lecture.

The conference languages are English and Polish.
