In brief: I am currently a Full Professor of Macroeconomics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. My previous appointments include: LSE (2001-2006), Bocconi University (2004-2005) UAB (2005-2011) and EUI (2011-2018).

I am a Research Fellow  of the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), a member of the Euro Area  Business Cycle Dating Committee and an non-executive member of the Portuguese Fiscal Council.
