In the Autumn of 1929, after nearly a decade of unpresedented economic growth, of rampant speculation and inflated real estate values, of easy credit and little regulation, the Stock Market crashed. The Great Depression that followed was the worst crisis that America has faced since the Civil War. 1 out of 4 Americans were out of work.
Today, 1 out of 5 Americans are out of work, 47 Million are on Food Stamps, 47% of taxpayers pay NO federal income tax. The only difference today is that the American taxpayer is paying the bills for the unemployed, those who cannot work, don't want to and won't work and those unable to work. During the Great Depression, you had no help but your own instinct to survive.
America is not in a "slump" or a "recession", America is in "decline".
It is long past time to elect an Everyday American Citizen to the White House and CongressWhy do we, the American voter, continue to elect a plutocrat for President and to Congress? For the past 50 years we have elected the "best and brightest" and the "most experienced" and look what shape our country is in.
Are you FED UP with Washington wasting your money and want REAL change or will it be 'business as usual' in 2012? If so, you know that neither Party has any candidate that will do anything to get this country back to its GREATNESS.
