About EVEnet

Purpose

The purpose of the Episcopal Vacation Exchange Network (EVEnet) is to facilitate the exchange of homes among Anglican/Episcopal clergy for vacation purposes.

History

EVEnet has been facilitating the exchange of homes among Anglican/Episcopal clergy on a not-for-profit basis since 1981.

Process

EVEnet is operated entirely on-line. Participants submit an e-mail application form which describes their family, their homes, and their vacation plans. These descriptions are consolidated into a single online newsletter, the link to which will be e-mailed to all participants. Participants then contact each other directly to negotiate vacation plans.

Important Dates

  • 1st Sunday in September -- EVEnet begins accepting vacation exchange listings.
  • 4th Sunday in November -- EVEnet online newsletter open for access by those who have submitted listing by that date.
  • After 4th Sunday in November -- Additional participants given access to EVEnet online newsletter as their listings are received and added.
Note:  Applications have been arriving more slowly this year than in previous years, probably due to continuing economic uncertainties.  We have now received a sufficient number of listings and opened the online newsletter on January 1. However, we could still benefit from additional listings, so please pass along information on EVEnet to your colleagues.

Cost

None. As long as there are no costs incurred in operating EVEnet, there will be no charge to participate. (However, if participants wish to contribute to St. Nicholas Episcopal Church, where the EVEnet coordinator is the rector, they may do so at the SaintNicks.com website.)

To Apply

Complete and submit the EVEnet Application Form electronically. Paper forms are not accepted.
