Day (T-40) - Ferraris in Nice

posted 10 Apr 2011, 20:11 by Joshua Weston   [ updated 18 Apr 2011, 15:07 ]

What would be a 'must do' for any rev head?
How about driving a Ferrari in Nice before the Monaco GP ;) It sounds like an ideal time and place to drive a Ferrari 360 Spider for the first time!

Good travel gear deals:
There are also very good sales at many of the camping/outdoors/adventure shops around Sydney. Many items with over 50% off, so now is the time to buy for the budget minded traveller.

Le Mans Guide:
Also, I found an essential for anyone travelling to Le Mans for the worlds greatest motor race.
It is a brilliantly written guide to 'surviving' Le Mans. The 2011 Guide is due to be released around the 31st of May, so keep your eyes open for it.

I found a website containing all of the wifi hotspots in Le Mans...

It should come in handy.

Day (T-61) - Almost done!

posted 20 Mar 2011, 21:33 by Joshua Weston

Its official, we now have accomodation booked for our entire trip! We have found some pretty good deals through hostelworld.com, and so far its all looking good!

I have also booked the trains from Paris airport to Le Mans. This was done through www.raileurope.com.au. It is important to note that you can only book rail tickets 90 days in advance, so keep an eye out for that.

All that is left to go now is organising phone credit, a Eurail pass, and possibly a hire car to hit the German Autobahns :)

In preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, I have been doing some reading on some forums, namely Beer Mountain, Ten-Tenths and Club Arnage. There are some GREAT tips to be shared!

Still to do:

There is still plenty to do before we go...

Some things include possibly finding tickets to see an EPL game (on the night we arrive), working out the best Eurail passes and ferries for the Greek Islands), finding the best deal for phone usage, as well as finalising our itinerary for the last 2 or so weeks...

Fun times ahead!
