Portugal
Country of fishermen, navigators, legends and friendly people.
This land is characterized by its unique mild climate, the astonishing landscape where within an hour’s drive you might be able to go from the golden seaside to the most magnificent mountains.
Among its cities and provinces, Lisbon is where the student of Portuguese is able to find the easiest accent of the language. Lisbon is a capital with features of its own. Surrounded by seven hills and framed by the river "Tejo", the city invites you to walk in its beautiful gardens and rest in one of its hundreds of small "cafés" where you will be able to experiment at least five different ways of having a cup of coffee.
About ten minutes away from Lisbon, Loures, is a rural city that copies city life but offers better, calmer and cheaper housing facilities, good shopping areas, and rural life. You will still find people who have time to participate in your language acquisition.
In fact, this is the area where two Bible Institutes have built their facilities (Assemblies of God Bible Institute called "Monte Esperança" and an interdenominational Bible Institute called "Instituto Biblico Português"), and where there is a Christian American School (grades K-12). In this area there are also several churches from different denominations where you may attend.
The transportation within the area is very easy because there is a very good bus system that works not just in the city of Loures, but that will take you directly to Lisbon centre, connecting to train, subway and inner city routes.
But, don't be tricked by this nice learning environment:
