I am a Senior R&D Scientist working in the Computing and Computational Sciences Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
My research is focused on:
i) quantum and classical algorithms and mathematics:
One fun limit is theoretical computer science.
Another fun limit is low-rank/filtering/compression methods for data-science. For example, click me.
ii) multi-linear representations (MLReps) for quantum quantum characterization, quantum control, and quantum computation (QC3):
Remember that meta-movie Inception? That with linear representations.
Who would have thought that linear algebra would be an effective tool for understanding quantum physics? Wigner.
Click here to choose this adventure. I chose it as my D.O.E. early career research project.
iii) topological phase transitions; quantum and classical, in and out of equilibrium:
Turning doughnuts into spheres and oranges into 8 spheres.
