This is the website for the ESSLLI 2019 Advanced Course on Language Processing in Dialogue, which will take place during the second week, 12-16 August 2019. Time: 14:00 - 15:30 Location: Room 30 Lecturers: Julian Hough & Arash Eshghi Course Description: The short Computational Linguistics course is intended as a practical introduction to the various issues that arise when one moves from text processing (most of NLP) to more interactive settings such as dialogue. This is a practical course, and as such is built upon a set of open-source computational tools which you will learn to use, and, hopefully help expand in the future. The topics covered include: empirical models of dialogue, dialogue systems, incremental language processing, Dynamic Syntax, repair structures & disfluencies, incremental dialogue system architectures as well as learning architectures for incremental systems. |
