CW Nets

CW NETS IN ESSEX

There are a number of CW Nets available within the Essex area and many of them use 144MHz.

The 2 metre nets are eminently suitable for novices as they usually have a limited range of about 30 miles and because they are mostly used by QRS (slower speed) operators.  There are experienced operators who use these nets as well, but mainly keeping to the lower speeds of other operators and assisting where required.

The ECWARC advice is to use the 2 metre nets to improve your operating techniques and skills and then to move on to the HF bands when you’re ready.

The following isn’t a comprehensive list, and will be updated whenever new information comes to hand.
