Essentrics is a highly effective exercise program, which strengthens and stretches every muscle in the body. It incorporates various techniques which systematically work every joint in the body. The heart of the program is a dynamic combination of strengthening and
flexibility exercises, designed to pull apart the joints by elongating the muscles and challenging them in the lengthened position. Each 60 minute workout is choreographed to various speeds and styles of music, which keep the workouts fun, as well as challenging.

Aging Backwards with Miranda Esmond-White

Please check your local listing for Miranda's, on going, PBS specials. Miranda is the founder of Essentrics & the author of Aging Backwards. Her PBS special is very educational. You will increase your knowledge on the effects of exercise and how important it is to your body, especially Essentrics. It's a must see program!!

Essentrics and Classical Stretch Website:

An interesting Ted Talk, about what happens to muscles when they are not stretched and strengthened regularly. Please be aware that this video, although very interesting, it does include images of muscles in human cadavers.

Motion is Critical

Motion is critical to our bodies operation and overall welfare. Our bodies are designed to move. The less we move the less capable we are of movement, which will increase the aging process. We must keep moving!

Our Body’s Physical Foundation

The strength of our body’s physical foundation is the muscular-skeletal system: Muscles, joints, bones & nerves. The interaction of all these components, at one time, is infinitely complex & so perfectly designed!

Essentrics works within our body's perfect design. It's made up of everyday movements which our body was intended to do. Should we not take care of this miraculous gift?

Improve Your Mood

You can improve your mood with exercise. American Psychiatric Association guidelines have recognized that exercise may be valuable for treating mild depression. Exercise works in a way similar to antidepressant medications. They both correct an imbalance in levels of serotonin. Serotonin is a chemical messenger that helps keep mood balanced. Studies show a significant increase in serotonin levels with exercise.
