Moez ESSEGHIR received the National Engineer Diploma in computer sciences from Ecole Nationale des Sciences Informatique (ENSI), Tunis, Tunisia in 2002, the Master of Science degree in networks from the University of Paris VI, Paris, France in 2003, the M.S. degree in computer sciences from ENSI, in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in computer sciences from University of Paris VI in 2007. In 2008, he was with the North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA, as Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2021, he obtained the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR)  from the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC).  In 2024, he was elevated to IEEE Senior Member Grade (SMIEEE). 

Moez ESSEGHIR is Full Professor at the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT), France. He was deputy director of the Computer Science and Digital Socities Lab (LIST3N) from 2021 to 2025. He was the  leader of the ERA research team in the former UMR CNRS 6281 ICD from January 2017 to december 2019. He is now the director of the Troyes institute of services and industries of the future (ISIFT).
