Mohammad Esmalifalak,
 defended his Ph.D. thesis in the University of Houston (UH) in Apr. 2013. From 2010 to 2013 he 
was research assistant in the ECE department of UH. He is  the author of the paper that won the best paper award in IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC 2012), Paris, France. His main research interests include the application of data mining, machine learning, compressed sensing, and signal processing in the operation and expansion of the smart grids.
