I'm an Assistant Professor of Economics and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University (Heinz College). My research interests lie at the intersection of Economic History and Energy and Environmental Economics. My work focuses on examining the impacts of the expansion of energy access, pollution, and environmental regulations on local development, health outcomes, and firm behavior since the age of electrification in the United States. I am also interested on the impact of climate change on air pollution, electricity generation, and infectious disease.
