European Robotics League - Emergency Robots
Season 2018-2019
Local Tournament La Spezia, Italy Date: 14-20 July 2018 The European Robotics League is an innovative concept for robot competitions which stems from its predecessors, the euRathlon and RoCKIn competitions, and focuses on tasks that emergency response robots execute in a realistic emergency environment. The ERL is composed of multiple "Local tournaments", held in different locations across Europe, with certified test beds, and a few competitions as part of "Major tournaments". Teams participate in a minimum of two tournaments (Local and/or Major) per year and get scores based on their performances. Scores of the best two participations in tournaments for each team are added and teams are ranked based on their cumulative score. Prizes for the top teams are awarded during the next year’s European Robotics Forum (ERF). We are pleased to announce the first Local Tournament on the ERL Emergency Robots (ERL-ER) challenge, to be held between 14-20 July 2018 at the NATO STO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation, La Spezia, Italy. It will include land and underwater robots working in an outdoor realistic environment. Organization
