Saturday 7th Easter

A Pilgrim's Daily Prayer

Called through the Word to the everlasting journey in the Spirit

from nothingness to union with the One who is the Beginning and the End

Saturday of the Seventh Week of Easter:             Paul Proclaimed the Kingdom of God

Readings for Mass
First Reading: Acts 28:16-20, 30-31
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 11:4, 5, 7
Gospel: John 21:20-25

Paul lived there for two whole years at his own expense and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance (NRSV, Acts 28:30-31) .

Let us pray.

Father, Paul who had been a persecutor of the followers of Jesus, after his encounter with the risen Lord, committed himself totally to the service of the gospel, even to the surrender of his life.

May we, who meet the Lord Jesus at every moment at the depth of our being as well as in all of our sisters and brothers, follow in the footsteps of Paul,  preaching the kingdom of God not only in what we say but also in a service of love to all in need.

Through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
