“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations (NRSV, Mark 11:17).”

Let us pray.

Father, we have learned from Jesus that you dwell everywhere.  Your house is all of creation and that you live in every human being who accepts the gift of your divine life.  And even when we reject you and turn away in sin, Father, you remain present to us through your Word calling us to repentance and offering forgiveness.

May we rejoice always in the realization, Father, that you are always with us, never turning your face away from us, and that your grace is ever available to us.

Because you share your life with every human being, Father, we are all your children, all your family.  May we recognize in one other the diverse gifts that you share with us, calling all to you, each in their own way.

Through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
