Welcome to my website!

I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Middlebury College and a macroeconomist specializing in labor markets and economic inequality.  My primary research agenda investigates the drivers behind rising U.S. inequality since the mid-20th century.  While my core field is macroeconomics, I regularly employ a variety of methodological approaches.  Outside of my academic work, I am an avid skier and, in 2021, co-produced a feature-length documentary film.
