Video Work

You know the expression: "A picture is worth a thousand words." So a video must be worth a million, right?

As a personal preference, I've found video to be the best medium in general to tell a story. There's just something about combining music, audio, photos, moving graphics, and everything into one cohesive media that makes a video so powerful.

I gained a lot of experience editing video throughout the years. I've learned how to use Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro CC, and Davinci Resolve. My favorite NLE to use is Final Cut Pro.

Explore the channels for more content! These are videos that I have been involved with; descriptions of each are found below!

Scala Foundation

I made the intro and the lower thirds to "wrap" this webinar recording for YouTube. Over the course of my time at Scala Foundation, I also produced clips from webinars and pre-existing content, but only was able to upload the (even) shorter clips as YouTube Shorts — see bottom of the page!

God Always Provides

I started a new YouTube channel called Bible Thinkthroughs to explore, explain, and defend the Christian faith. This video discusses the parallel between the binding of Isaac and Jesus Christ's sacrifice. I also explore perhaps why God chose Abraham to be the father of a people who rejoice in a relationship with Him.

Journal Entries

Inspired by C.S. Lewis's style of writing, my "Journal Entries" series are short, off-the-cuff thoughts about our world and our relationship to God. I hope that those listening to these would be inspired and perhaps write their own devotionals.

Git Commit Show Day 2 Highlights

I edited this post-event video for Day 2 of the conference.

Git Commit Show Day 1 Highlights

I edited this video for quick release after Day 1 of the conference had concluded.

Git Commit Show by Invide Labs

From May 2020 to June 2020, I worked with the wonderful people behind the Git Commit Show - a 2-day online tech conference that is open to all and promotes interaction and the sharing of knowledge.

The conference, hosted by Invide || Elite developers community, happened on June 27th and 28th. Many great speakers presented their work, and many attendees had opportunities to learn and interact with each other.

Here is the trailer video that I made to help promote the event!

I also made the intros and outros for their speaker session videos.

The Public Happiness Movement

I was able to have access to Adobe CC through my university during the COVID-19 pandemic. So, I decided to ask on reddit if any nonprofits needed video editing help. This was a video that I edited for the Public Happiness Movement, an organization dedicating to spreading happiness throughout the world through fun activities. This was a lot of fun to edit; Wiggles is a cute dog!

Modern Wall Street Internship (2016)

I came back to intern at Modern Wall Street for a second summer, and learned even more. I enjoyed researching topics and making videos about current events.

Modern Wall Street Internship (2015)

I learned a great deal in my first internship -- from using film equipment, to presentation and narration skills, and also social media. Many thanks to James Sweeney for teaching me so much. I realized how much work goes into making a video.

Beacham & Mao

This channel was a project that I started with one of my friends, Jordan Beacham, while we were in high school. He plays the euphonium/baritone and I play the trombone in these duet videos.

Other editing work:

Some examples of edits that I do for my Rutgers club (Ratio Christi) and my church (OBBC). There is also a video from when I worked for the Scala Foundation. These videos have less editing of the actual content, but rather the bulk of the work in these videos were on the intros, outros, and graphics such as lower thirds.

YouTube Shorts:

After realizing the value of short-form content, I decided to edit some videos in this format. Here are some edits that I've made.
