Exploring one's inner world is the greatest adventure and privilege in life. Therapy is similar to exploring the wilderness, with all the twists, turns, discoveries, and joys that accompany adventures. When a solid therapeutic relationship is established, the therapist is similar to a compass that offers direction and sturdy shoes for support along the journey.
