Dr. Ericka Souders has been a practicing counselor for over a decade. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon  (#C2758) and provides counseling in her private practice. She specializes in providing counseling to adults dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss, and health related limitations. 

Dr. Souders began her training as a counselor during her undergraduate and graduate education from Eastern Washington University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology in 2001 and her Master's of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2003. She later earned her Doctorate of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from Western Michigan University in 2009.  

Dr. Souders had a private practice in Kalamazoo, Michigan for seven years until she moved to Eugene, Oregon. She worked at Lane County Community Health Centers in Eugene, Oregon as a mental health specialist where she helped to implement an Integrative Behavioral Health model in a primary care setting.  She has provided counseling in private practice, medical, community agency, university, and substance abuse treatment settings. She has also taught graduate counselor education courses and health and wellbeing courses the Holistic Health Department at Western Michigan University off and on from 2004 to 2011. Her research interests include counselor education and supervision, counselor personal development, holism and counseling, multiculturalism and diversity,  and complementary and alternative medicine. Ericka also enjoys running, socializing, hiking, and reading.
