Eric Fong is a Chair Professor in Sociology and Associate Dean (teaching and learning) of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Hong Kong. He is also the inaugural Director of the Population Research Hub at the Faculty of Social Sciences, the University of Hong Kong. Fong widely publishes in the areas of race and ethnic residential patterns and immigration.
