Some of our results

The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) hosted reports result from the extensive work that we have undertaken in relation to various sites.  These include Caldwell Estate, Cowdon Hall and Neilston Cemetery.  Several of the entries in the RCAHMS records for Caldwell  derive from our work.

Caldwell Tower as a landscape feature originally appeared in The Journal of The Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland, 2010, and incorporates some of the findings of our work relating to Caldwell Estate.

We have established that Caldwell House was not completed until around 1793.  This followed the death of Baron Mure in 1776 and associated financial and other issues.

Our work on Neilson Cemetery now features in Parks and Gardens UK

Utilising the Forestry Commission's method for Estimating the Age of Large and Veteran Trees in Britain, we have established with reasonable confidence, that some of the trees of the 18th century Caldwell Roy garden remain in situ.
