Liquid Propulsion

The primary objective of the liquid propulsion team is to develop a full scale liquid propellant rocket engine with support systems to further Embry Riddle's goal of putting a satellite into orbit.  The initial feasibility study for designing and building such a system was completed in the Fall of 2009 with promising results.

Once the scaled design is proved out, ERPL will have completed its first major milestone in the development of a liquid propellant rocket propulsion system.  This program will serve as the foundation to ultimately yield a student designed multistage vehicle, establishing Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students as the first to put a satellite in orbit.

Any members who wish to work on this project will be working directly with Project Aquila which is the same project that is being worked on by senior design. The preparation you can gain for the class is invaluable.
