E-portfolios Community of Practice – June event
A free online event, looking at how e-portfolios can support workforce development and lifelong learning.
The VET E-portfolios Community of Practice (EpCoP) session was held on Friday 24 June at 12.30pm (AEST = Sydney time) through Blackboard Collaborate (Elluminate Live).
Ken Johnson, from Victoria University, talked about the Scaffolding VCAL learners with e-portfolios EIT, which investigated how the PebblePad e-portfolio system can support a new integrated delivery model for the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and how the e-portfolio helped learners create a digital resume to enhance their employment prospects.
Ray Tuckey, from Great Southern Institute of Technology, Western Australia, talked about the E-portfolios for Trainers EIT, which used the Mahara e-portfolio system to help trainers record their own skills and learning, demonstrating their training complies with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), and to investigate different ways of learning and assessing using an e-portfolio approach.
