Range Officer Exam
Rules
• The examination is set up in such a way that it forces one to read the rules completely. It is important to SAMSSA that the member taking the exam must read the IMSSU/SAMSSA rules, rather than acquiring the answer from someone else.
• This is an open book exam and the answers are found in he IMMSU and the SAMSSA in-house rules
• No time limit is set for the exam
• Evaluate each of the suggested answers (a, b, c etc.) to the question for correctness and only mark those that are applicable on the answering sheet.
• Negative marking will be employed, i.e. if only 3 selections were requested and 4 were given, a point will be deducted from the score.
• A member achieving 90% or more will be awarded with a SAMSSA Range Officer Certificate
• The exam is free for SAMSSA members. Non-members can take the exam at a cost of R150.
