NAPIS Leg Banding Trial

EPA NSW Inc advises all member clubs to accept modern game birds ONLY with NAPIS leg bands if they wish to, on the basis that these birds may have been legitimately acquired interstate with bands already installed as part of the NAPIS trial. EPA NSW's position in relation to leg bands (or wing bands) remains that these are ways which may leave a judge open to an accusation of knowledge of a bird's owner and subsequent bias. The association does not support the use of identifying means on exhibition fowls in the show pen.
