Proposed five year plan for ceasing cosmetic dubbing

At the August AGM, the EPA voted to consider a five year plan to work towards changing the rules re showing of dubbed game fowl males. This was done as a proactive response to any likely change in legislated policy as part of the proposed new standards and guidelines.

Note that this is NOT an immediate requirement to only show undubbed males in game classes, it is a FIVE YEAR plan to do so.

Clubs have been asked to comment on the proposal by 28 February 2018. Some common questions around the proposal and answers to them are contained in the FAQ document below. The letter to clubs about the plan is also available.

This is a separate issue to the draft Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines for Poultry although it obviously is linked.
