Area Envirothon competition:

All teams in NC must register and participate in an Area Envirothon competition. This is the qualifying event for the NC Envirothon competition. The top seven (7) middle school and top seven (7) high school teams, plus top FFA team, at each Area Envirothons will qualify to compete at the state-level NC Envirothon. Your local Soil & Water Conservation District can assist you in registering your team for the Area Envirothon (see list of Districts).

State-level NC Envirothon Registration process:

In order to qualify for the NC Envirothon, teams must first be registered and compete in their local Area Envirothon. Those who qualify at their Area Envirothon (top seven (7) middle school and top seven (7) high school teams, plus top FFA team) will be automatically registered pending payment of the competition registration fee.

  • Registration (team) deadline - Friday, April 12, 2019
  • Registration Fee deadline - Thursday, April 18, 2019
    • There is a $150 participation fee for each team advancing to the state-level competition. Please contact your local County Soil & Water Conservation District first before paying, many times Districts will pay the registration fee for teams from their county.
          • Exception to fee deadline will be made for soil and water conservation districts who contact Sandra Weitzel and tell her the district is paying the team’s registration fee.
