Greetings from the English Valleys PTO.
New Chip Shoppe Fundraiser 2014
Visit Ashley's personal student site or contact anyone who has children in the elementary school. Orders are due by Sept. 9, 2014.
Summer Reading Reaps Big Rewards
The PTO had 50 participants in the 2010 summer reading program.
Students in PK-6 read books over the summer, logged the number of pages they read, and turned their logs in at the beginning of the school year. There were 16 boys and 34 girls who read a total of 38,647 pages!
Participants received prizes and gift certificates and were also invited
to attend a pizza, pop, and movie party in the elementary gymnasium. The student who read the most in each grade level was also taken to the Malt Shop for lunch. See Pictures of the Party
The PTO would like to thank North English Family Foods and the EV
Malt Shop for providing gift certificates for prizes, and Casey’s for the
yummy pizza for our pizza party. Another big thank you goes to the parents for encouraging their children to read all summer long!
Our fall fundraiser with Cherrydale was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who helped to make it happen. Our class room winner for the ice cream party was Mrs. Hester's 3rd graders. They all enjoyed their ice cream. Our I Pod chair winners are Summer Gibson, 2nd grade and Brandon Zimmerman, 5th grade. All students who sold at least 1 item will be attending a Dance Party. The date has not yet been set due to all of the activities and field trips. Keep watching the bulletin board for more information. Also, for every 5 items a student sold, he or she will be getting 1 piece of tape to help tape the principal to the wall. This will also take place at the dance party. Mrs. Andreassen will be getting 202 pieces of tape. Good job students. Our total profit from this fundraiser was $6260.60. All items will be available for pickup on Wednesday, October 1st, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. If you have any more question, please contact me. Thanks to everyone who helped at the garage sale. And a special thanks to Mrs. Andreassen for all of her hard work.
Together we can make a difference.
