As a daughter of a former Israeli Ambassador, I have lived in a number of countries, thereby allowing me the experience of encountering a variety of cultures around the world. In doing so, I experienced both the benefits and the hardships of moving from one country to another at various ages.

I have lived in England as a toddler and in Sweden until the age of seven, where I first experienced the life in an international community, at the Anglo-Saxon School. I was taken back to Israel and put into grade 2. Although we spoke Hebrew at home, I was not fluent.  I was a stranger in my own country, language and culture. I pretended to know the songs and rhymes and did not know my way around school.

At the age of 13, I was again taken away, this time to Kenya where I studied at the International School, and at the age of 16 moved again to Cyprus, where I went to a private English School which was really a Greek-Cypriote school. A year later I had moved back to Israel, this time having to repeat a whole school-year in order to catch up with the Hebrew subjects needed for matriculation.

In spite of the hardships, I was enriched by the various cultures and my multi-national circle of friends. The international schools endowed me with openness, with tolerance and respect for other cultures, and with an understanding for the children's needs when facing new, strange and foreign environments.
