  • Color cartoon with a hangman showing a PowerPoint presentation to the hangee.
Blog post with reflection of learning (Individual Tutorials & Reflection)
  • Blog post with overall reflection analyzing the application, what you learned, what you still want to learn, how you might use it in the future, etc. (Individual Tutorials & Reflection)
  • Final wiki page/s and presentation for Canonical Text Project (Don't forget, please plan your presentations for only 15 minutes and you'll get 5 more for Q&A. I don't expect you to cover everything that is available on your wiki page/s. Instead, think of your presentation as a sales pitch to get everyone in the class to read your book.)

Due 3/12

Due 3/16
  • Peer Review of Canonical Text wiki page/s--not accepted late (see prompt below)
  • Reading, Thinking & Reflecting Read & Replies Post--Go read & reply to at least 4 posts. Once you are done, post something new in your blog that reflect on what you've learned from your classmates. Also be sure to link out to the four replies (link out to the exact pages you replied on, not the over all blog).
  • Blog post with reflection of learning (Individual Tutorials & Reflection)
  • Blog post with a rhetorical analysis of one example text that primarily uses the application you are studying (Individual Tutorials & Reflection)

Peer Review Prompt

Complete two peer reviews, one as assigned, the second by choice (McLuhans, don't do the other McLuhan!).
Answer all the questions listed below for each of the drafts (use the "reply" function at the bottom of the pages). Be sure to comment on both content and surface features. If it is a really good draft, try to break down how and why it is good.
  • Do you have any unanswered questions after you finished reading the draft? What are they?
  • What did you like about the draft? How/why did you like it? How might the author build on that section?
  • What sections are confusing to you? How/why? Ask your classmates questions that would help you to make sense of the section.
  • Where would you like to know more? Ask questions!
  • Does the draft provide all the requested information listed in the assignment prompt? If not, what is it missing?
  • How is the layout and design of the page? How might the authors use CRAP design elements to make the page/s better?
In your blog, write a reflection of your peer review process. First list and link to the two drafts you reviewed. What did you learn from reading and replying to your classmates’ drafts? After reviewing their drafts, what do you realize you need to revise in your own draft? Now read the reviews conducted on your draft (please list the names of your classmate’s who reviewed your draft). Did any comments surprise you? Why or why not?
