Holding online conversations, with or without video, can be a great way to stay in touch with individual or groups of students. Hold a regular time when students can login (and maybe dial-up by phone for voice contact) using Webex, Adobe ConnectNow, NetMeeting, and others. These meeting spaces permit all in the meeting to see the same Web pages, documents, etc.
