Welcome, Make More Money, Hawaii! intern! You are here as a result of your fine efforts in our grueling, patents-pending, to-the-death MMMH! intern screening process. Congratulations. The fact that you have held on dearly to your life means that you may now participate in (guess what?) a grueling, patents-pending, to-the-death, 16-week MMMH! internship. If you survive the sixteen weeks, you will crawl back to school with improved writing and research skills and with a new appreciation of Hawaii's competitive business environment.

About Our Consulting

Make More Money, Hawaii! is a marketing research consultancy that specializes in qualitative primary research and secondary research. Because MMMH! brings in more money than you can possibly imagine, it has developed an expansive internship program designed specifically for students enrolled in University of Hawaii community colleges. MMMH! has a dual purpose, then, that includes 1) making more money for itself and for its clients, and 2) contributing to the improvement of business education in Hawaii.

Your Role

As a research intern, your job will be to contribute to the company's ongoing marketing and research projects, to complete other writing tasks as needed, and to prepare a group research/analysis project of, which will be featured on the company website.

Before you begin

It is imperative to stay in close contact with your intern coordinator, Lance, also known as "The Axe."  [tbtd] Work with your coordinator; seek feedback on each task so your team can produce the highest quality product.

Before you begin work, visit the Orientation to learn how to succeed here. You will be working in teams throughout your affiliation, so take the time to learn how to do it the right way.

  • Explore Working with Tasks to better understand why and how we define and solve problems and tasks.
  • Work your way through the information in Working in Teams to get your team off to a better start.
  • Plan to check back regularly -- New material is added to the Orientation section as needed.

Your coordinator will assign specific Tasks & Assignments for you or your team to complete. Follow the task link on the left to discover the details of the tasks. Be certain to review the Requirements section for each task or subtask before you embark on your solution.

Our research and design (R&D) assistant has gathered Resources for you to reference as you complete the Tasks assigned. If you have suggestions for additional resources, please post them to the Forums area.

After you have completed each task, review Debrief questions to confirm your learning and understanding of the task.

This is a fast-paced working environment. I hope you will enjoy and be up to the challenge. Welcome aboard!
