The Energy Systems Laboratory was part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Pittsburgh from 2000-2015. It is currently in the process of moving to Rice University. Many of the laboratory facilities are still located in 211 Benedum Hall, and include both computational and experimental resources. The purpose of the Energy Systems Lab is to investigate the multi-scale thermal-fluid behavior encountered during the conversion and use of energy. More information on the people, projects, and facilities of the lab can be found in the links on the left.
