Mating Season: November/December
Gestation: 5-6 months
Litter Size: 1 lamb (2 is very rare; like twins)
Life Span: Rams -> 9-12 years, Ewes -> 10-14 years

Other Facts:
> Lambs can walk within a day
> Lambs stay with their mothers for a year

Mating "Calls"

The Big Horn sheep rams compete for ewes by holding head butting competitions.  The rams will run at each other and crack their heads together.  Sometimes their horns will crack or chip, but it is very rare that a sheep actually dies during these.  When on ram backs down, the winner gets the ewe.
