To travel from Arlanda to Uppsala is straightforward by either taxi, train or bus.

By taxi: Taxis can be found outside the airport terminals. The journey takes about 30 minutes, and costs about 490 SEK.

By train: Trains travel frequently from Arlanda Central station to Uppsala Central station. The journey takes about 20 minutes, and the ticket costs 160 SEK (174 SEK with SJ operated trains).

By bus: The public transport company Upplands Lokaltrafik (UL) runs the airport coach route 801 between Uppsala and Arlanda. Buses depart twice an hour between 3 a.m. and 12 midnight, and the journey takes about 40 minutes. There are numerous ways in which tickets for the bus may be purchased:
  • At Arlanda Visitor's Centre at Terminal 5, or at other information desks at Terminals 2 and 4
  • Self-service ticket machines are available at the stops at Terminals 2, 4 and 5
  • SMS ticket
  • Payment by credit or debit card on board the coach; cash is not accepted.
To travel to the Ångström Laboratory from within Uppsala, you may use the buses which are the main mode of public transport within Uppsala. Tickets can be bought on buses by credit or debit card only; cash is not accepted.

The closest bus stop to the Ångström Laboratory (where the meeting will be held) is called "Polacksbacken".

If you wish to travel directly to the Ångström Laboratory from Uppsala Central station (where trains and buses from the airport arrive), you can take any of the following buses, and get off at the "Polacksbacken" bus stop:

Bus   1 towards "Ultuna"
Bus 12 towards "Gottsunda via Ultuna"
Bus 20 towards "Graneberg"
