Dear Friends and family of EMDC,

We are making great strides in being able to provide more services for individuals with special needs
in the community. We will be unveiling new programming in the very near future! We are so
excited! But, before we can do that, we need your help.

We have been asked to compile a list of individuals that would consider using Empower Me as a
permanent residence for their child once he or she turns the age of 21. The level of care for a
residential model has not yet been determined, and we know this can cover a broad spectrum of needs.

As a preliminary step, however, we are trying to gauge interest in supported, community living for
young adults with special needs.

If we had the facilities and appropriate level of care, would you be interested in having your child live
in those facilities full-time. I know what you are thinking....What? When? How? What would it cost?

Those are all great questions, and are all being discussed at this time. What we need is your child's
name and current age if you do not have other arrangements already made for when they become a
dults. There is no commitment, you are not signing on a dotted line. We just need to prove that there
is a need for this type of housing in this area.

We are asking you to email with the name and age, and we will
compile that list.

Please feel free to forward this to anyone and everyone that you think would benefit from the
housing. We will give more information once we have the details worked out to
share. Your child does not have to be 21 years of age for you to put their name on this list. If you are
able to see this as a possibility, 5, 10, 15 years down the road, please consider giving us the
information so we can best plan to meet as many individuals’ needs as possible in the future.

Thank you so much for your help!
We are still Daring to DREAM!
