Where we play!

2011 - Ruskeasuo

If it's good enough for Inter and AC, it's good enough for Empire, that's what I say.

2011 will see us playing our home games at Ruskeasuo (It translates as The Brown Swamp, which somehow isn't quite as awesome-sounding as The San Siro, sadly) in a ground-share deal with our oldest rivals and good friends Stadin Kriketti Klubi SKK.

Fondly known as Rusa, the ground is adjacent to Helsinki Police Stables and Riding School, and there is a Sports Hall next to us with a licenced cafeteria which is open through (most of) the summer.

If anyone is looking for us, we are at the end of Ratsastie, off Mannerheimintie, Take the number 10 tram and get off at the Kuusitie stop.

Good luck finding it from there!

Previous Home Grounds

2010 - Hakunila

We moved back to grass for two games in 2010 - alas, it wasn't to last...

2009 - Herttoniemenrannan ala-aste

The ground is located behind the school a short walk from Herttoniemi Metro Station - Map of pedestrian route from Metro.

If you are coming by car then access to the car park is in Paasivaarankatu via Suolakivenkatu map of car access to car park.

After match refreshments are taken at the Sailor's pub on the sea-front.

2008 - Rajakylä Sports Ground

We trained and played at Rajakylä Sports Ground together with our good friends at Vantaa Cricket Club.
2007 - 2003 - The Brook, Viikki
Prior to the 2008 season we played our home matches on a grass outfield at our very first ground - Viikinojanpuisto or "The Brook" which is located at Ilmolanraitti 11 in Viikki, Helsinki.

Our club  members have fond memories of The Brook and its role in the early days of Empire CC. Many of our founding members still long for a decent grass outfield on which a proper game of cricket can be played!
With this in mind we hope (and will continue to strive) to be playing on grass again in the not too distant future!
