I have been on the music faculty at Minneapolis Community and Technical College since 1997. Loving teaching as much as I love singing, I have been active as a teacher, clinician and singer throughout most of my career. Much of my professional singing has been devoted to choral music, leading me to sing and record with the Dale Warland Singers, the Oregon Bach Festival (including the 2000 Grammy™ award winning recording of Krzystof Penderecki's Credo), the Ensemble Singers of VocalEssence (formerly the Plymouth Music Series), the Robert Shaw Festival Chorus and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra Chorale. I am currently a contracted singer with the Minnesota Chorale

In 1995 I completed my Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota, and I hold additional degrees from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Viterbo University.

I am devoted to the study and performance of vocal works from the 20th century on,  but when I come home I listen to everything from Erykah Badu to Lena Chamamayan to Ranky Tanky.

Audio Clips

Here are some audio clips of solo and choral work that I have done. Click on the titles to hear the selections.

Rossignolet des Bois performed in November 2001 with guitarist Jocko MacNelly. This piece was arranged by Matyas Seiber.

Credo, by Krzystof Penderecki. This is a selection from the opening movement. The choir is the Oregon Bach Festival Choir under the direction of Helmuth Rilling.

Go Tell it on the Mountain, arranged by Stephen Barnett. This is from the RCA recording "Welcome Christmas", Ensemble Singers of the Plymouth Music Series, Philip Brunelle conducting.
