Since August 2007, I serve as the Associate Director for the new International Educational Exchange Program between UVSQ and GSU.

(We are currently working on the official website for the program)

Since Fall 2007, I serve as:

Associate Director of the International Exchange Program

French university of Versailles-St Quentin en Yvelines (UVSQ) and Georgia State University (GSU).

Working hand in hand with:

  • Dr. Pearl McHaney in Atlanta and Dr. Jacques Pothier in Versailles, the directors of the program
  • The offices of International Scholar and Student Services at UVSQ and GSU
  • The Vice Consul at the French consulate here in Atlanta

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic planning and creation of brochures promoting the program to students (I am currently working on a website).
  • Promotion of this newly-established program of study at study abroad fairs
  • Translation of official documents
  • Development of course registration and application materials
  • Designing a welcome package focusing on matters of cultural adjustment—such as issues of daily living, orientation, and registration.
  • Greeting students at the airport, helping them to move into their dorms
  • Giving private tours of Georgia State campus, making myself always reachable in case of questions and crises.
  • Providing cross-cultural information, student morale, culture shock, travel, health issues, emotional concerns, etc. 
  • Keeping the program directors informed of the students’ overall experience in a timely manner.
