The Holy place of Emmaus is open for individual or group visits  

Mon-Fri: 8:30am-12pm, 2:30pm-5pm 

(Winter: until 5:30 pm)

Sat: 8:30am – 5pm (Winter: until 5:30 pm)

Sun: Please call in advance

Guide's services

Groups can ask for a free tour of the archaeological site and  can meet with members of the Community of the Beatitudes. Please ask in advance for either service.

Holy Mass celebrations

Mass can be celebrated on site. Please notify in advance. Feel free to join the Community of the Beatitudes for their community’s mass or prayer.

How to get to Emmaus:

from Jerusalem: take any bus stopping at Latrun (#404, 433, 434, 435), and from the bus stop walk for about a quarter of an hour (1 km) North towards Modi'in.

from Tel-Aviv:  first go to the town of Ramle either by the Egged bus #411 or by sherut (collective taxi) or by train, and then to Latrun by the Egged bus #433. From the bus stop walk for about a quarter of an hour (1 km) North towards Modi'in.
