Emily Leskinen is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Carthage College, a small, liberal arts college in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Ph.D. in Psychology in 2012, where she also earned a graduate certificate in Women's Studies. She also holds a Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan with an emphasis on interpersonal practice and mental health. Prior to her time at the University of Michigan, she studied Human Rights at the University of Chicago, earning a M.A. in Social Science. She received her B.A. in Psychology, Political Science, and Women's Studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.
