Greetings From the Owner
Hello and welcome to the new online home of EMC Artists!
I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself, so why not start with the basics. I hold degrees in Communication Studies and Music from Albion College in Michigan. I am classically trained on saxophone and clarinet, and dabbled a bit on piano. My passion for music came from my grandmother, who was an enormous part of my life in many ways. She was my first music teacher, teaching me how to read music and play piano starting when I was about 6. She loved watching my older brother and me learn and explore within the music world and she was tickled pink when I blew out my parents expensive speakers on Phantom of the Opera (the organ Overture, naturally).
I've lived in the greater Cleveland area my entire life, save for the 4 years I spent at Albion. I purchased a home in September 2010 and my dogs and I enjoy going for walks around the neighborhood, lounging on the back deck and grilling on the patio. I find a lot of joy (and stress relief!) in cooking and it's something that I enjoy doing for my family and friends.
Since starting EMC Artists in 2007, I have experienced enormous growth as an individual and a company due in a large part to the support of my friends and family, and of course due to the patrons of the arts.
So there you have it. A little bit about me. Now, take your time and look around the site to learn a little bit about everything else. I hope you enjoy what you see!
