I was a phd student in Mathematics at Aalto University in Helsinki, in the research group of Alexander Engström. My doctoral thesis: Geometry of real tensors and phylogenetics.
I was a postdoc at the MPI for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig, in the research group of Bernd Sturmfels.
Currently, I am a postdoc at Texas A&M University, in the research groups of J.M. Landsberg and Frank Sottile.

Research interests:
  • Algebraic geometry and representation theory of tensors, and their applications
  • Toric varieties and phylogenetics
  • Classical algebraic geometry
  • Algebraic combinatorics
