2014 Ph.D. Complex Systems and Nonlinear Dynamics
Dept. of Information Engineering & Dept. of Physics and Astronomy
University of Florence, Italy
Thesis: Local Dynamics in Complex Networks: from Community Detection to epidemic spreading
Description: This thesis explored cognitive inspired algorithms for detecting communities in networks. Moreover we studied the effect of the risk perception for the modeling of the disease propagation in multiplex networks.
