HI-LIGHTS: This KING ELVIS LP is the "Holy Grail" of Boots! This is the 1st Issue, of the 1st Press, of the FIRST Ever North American (Canada) ELVIS BOOTLEG Album! If the Cover Title, "The Hillbilly Cal Live" is Not Centered at top & bottom edges, then it is Not an Original 1st Press. Only 189 copies were pressed, but as the 1st boot ever, it was a trial & error labor of love, many problems occurred with manufacturing, pressing & distribution. Covers arrived defective. Many with no records, or 1 record, or 2 of the same record. When all was said & done, only about 50 complete copies were available exclusively to members of the Canadian "Spring Fever EP Fan Club". Ironically, the '1st N. Am. Boot Ever', was Not intended as a 'boot', but rather a marketing tool to promote the newly-founded Canadian "Spring Fever EP Fan Club" in 1970! Of note, SPEPFC was also the FIRST to print a full scale, ELVIS color & b&w yearly calendar! Members contributed their personal, mostly live pics & like the LP, was exclusively available to their members as a marketing & promotional tool. The Fan Club Pres, Claude was ahead of his time in more ways than 1! This LP also featured the very 1st release of "Tiger Man" sung on its own & not as part of the Mystery Train-Tiger Man medley. As well as "When The Snow Is On The Roses"! Cover is EX with minor wear & 3 of the 4 sides of the Vinyl are M, with 1 light mark on 4th side M-.
