(Los Angeles, September 10, 2012) The 2012 edition of “Elvira’s Horror Hunt" and the all-star jury led by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and Peaches Christ has named the Grand Prize winners of Best Feature and Best short films. Indiana filmmaker, Scott Schirmer’s “FOUND” took the top prize for Best Feature Film and while Chicago-based Danny DelPurgatario’s “OTHER” secured the Best Short Film award. 7 features and 13 shorts played in the selection process, and the winners were chosen by Elvira and Peaches Christ, and their jury of Sybill Danning, Bill Mosely and Joe Bob Briggs.

In a combined statement from “Elvira's Horror Hunt's" jury, they express that “’FOUND’ is an after-school
‘Lifetime’ movie on bullying, with multiple decapitations, full-frontal-nude massacres, a head in a bowling bag-- and then there are the disturbing parts. Both ‘FOUND’ and ‘OTHER’ delivers the goods in direction, acting and special effects. In displaying a dedicated, fearless point-of view with disturbingly, beautiful stories, both winners are true horror films and are fantastic examples of what “indie’ horror filmmakers are creating right now.” "The cast and crew of 'FOUND' are thrilled beyond belief that our movie is being introduced to the world by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and Peaches Christ through “Elvira's Horror Hunt. It is the greatest honor any of us have ever received, “says director Scott Schirmer of ‘FOUND.’ “It means the world to all of us that Horror Hunt is supporting “indie” filmmakers and I simply cannot thank them enough," "We would like to thank all of the people at “Elvira’s Horror Hunt” for hosting such an amazing event. Screening alongside so many outstanding films was an inspiration and we are deeply honored to have been
selected as "Best Short Film,” says director Danny DelPurgatario of ‘OTHER.' “Just the thought of Elvira, Peaches Christ, Sybill Danning, Bill Moseley and Joe Bob Briggs watching our film is humbling. We couldn't be more excited to bring ‘OTHER’ to The Vista Theater for what will become a night to a remember."

Both films, with filmmakers/cast/crew in attendance, will screen on Thursday, September 13 at 8:00pm, historic Vista Theatre in Hollywood, California. Walk the red carpet with them, get blinded by paparazzi and experience an evening of terrifying films and frightful excitement. Admission is $20, so buy your tickets in advance, as the event is guaranteed to sell-out.

* PLEASE NOTE: The films are powerful, disturbing and not for children. They are currently unrated and
are graphic in both content and tone. No one under seventeen will admitted to the event.
