How To Share My Faith

One of the greatest evidences of your new life in Christ is a desire to tell others about Jesus. This is life’s greatest call and highest privilege, to be God’s ambassador, seeking to persuade others to be reconciled to God.

Here is a basic way to share your faith. These questions are taken and modified from "Sharing Jesus Without Fear" by William Fay:

The Questions:

· What are your spiritual beliefs?

· To you, who is Jesus Christ?

· When you die, where are you going and why?

· If what you believe is not true, would you want to know?

The Scriptures:

God tells us that all are sinners, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23

God tells us the result of sin, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord". - Romans 6:23

God tells us of His love for sinners, "For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation." - Romans 5:10-11

God tells us the way of salvation, that "if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." Romans 10:9-13

God tells us the result of salvation, "For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; 15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. 16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation." - 2 Cor 5:14-19

The Witness:

· Are you a sinner?

· Do you want forgiveness of sins?

· Do you believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again?

· Are you willing to surrender your life to Jesus Christ?

· Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life and into your heart?

Here's a Suggested Prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe You died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in Heaven for me. Come into my life, take control of my life, I repent of my sins, please forgive my sins and save me. I now trust You alone for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life."

If they have trusted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, there is so much in store for them and we want to rejoice in what God has done in your life and help you and them to grow spiritually, please, let us know.
